| Studio: | Hal Roach Studios |
Production & Preservation Note: While The Love Bug beautifully captures the green, small-town charm of Palms in the mid-1920s, the picturesque bench, mature tree, and open streetscape at the northwest corner of Motor and Woodbine have long since disappeared. This footage stands as a vital historical record, capturing the lost aesthetics of the Westside area of Los Angeles in the early twentieth-century.
Cupid's arrow has struck Farina, Joe and Mickey!
There's quite a bit of on location filming in this one, with the bulk of it in the Palms neighborhood on the west side of Los Angeles. This particular Quick Preview excerpt focuses on a scene where Joe is trying to woo Peggy Ahern on a picturesque bench under a tree. Sadly, the tree, bench and charm of this spot are all long gone.
Where exactly is this Our Gang / The Little Rascals filming location? The northwest corner of the intersection of Motor Avenue and Woodbine Street in the Palms neighborhood of Los Angeles.
