Thelma Todd wins a new car in a local movie theater giveaway contest and takes her friend Patsy Kelly on a ride, but they are quickly pulled over by a traffic cop for speeding!
As part of our Los Angeles filming locations tour, this then and now look at the 1933 comedy Beauty and the Bus takes us to the historic Westwood Village neighborhood on the Westside of Los Angeles. This beautiful shopping and entertainment district was just a few years old when this movie was filmed there on location.
In addition to seeing iconic landmarks like 10912 Kinross Avenue and 1142 Westwood Blvd, Beauty and the Bus shows us a rare glimpse of the area's wide-open, undeveloped spaces as they appeared nearly a century ago.
