White Town - Your Woman (Music Video) (1997) - Filming Locations

The music video for the song that was played again and again (and again!) on the radio in 1997.

The song Your Woman was written, performed and produced by the band White Town which is... just one person: Jyoti Mishra of Derby, Derbyshire, England. The music video filming locations for Your Woman are all located in the historic downtown core of Derby.

Researching the music video filming locations for Your Woman was a bit of a challenge, as I started off having absolutely no familiarity with Derby. However, after a month or two of steady research I was able to identify all but three of the filming locations. As a long shot, I sent an email to Jyoti (he's very accessible online) and he gave me a very enthusiastic thumbs up on the filming locations video project and also supplied me with the address of one of my three unknown filming locations.

By the time I arrived in Derby to photograph the "now" versions of the filming locations used in the music video, I felt familiar with the town as if I was one of the residents! If you are ever in England - or maybe you live there - it's well worth taking the train up from London (or down from the north) and spending a day in Derby, using the full filming locations video here on the site as your tour guide around the town.
