| Film: | Traffic Tangle (1930) |
| Star: | Nat Carr |
Production & Preservation Note: Traffic Tangle functions as a dedicated time capsule of the 1930 Culver City streetscape. Because the production utilized many of the same locations found in other classic comedies of the era, it offers viewers a unique opportunity to see these remarkably preserved architectural landmarks in a different comedic context.
A man buys a new car and decides to take his family for a drive, but quickly ends up in a traffic jam and annoys a traffic cop!
Traffic Tangle was filmed almost entirely on location and is a great time capsule of Downtown Culver City, California as it looked in 1930.
You'll likely recognize several of the locations from other movies (Laurel and Hardy's Leave 'Em Laughing in particular) and miraculously, most of those locations are unchanged today.
Because of the extensive amount of location filming in this movie, the complete movie locations then and now video documentary has been broken up into two parts. This is the first of those two parts.
